We have an exciting opportunity in our Conference & Banqueting team as an Event Service Expert (Casual position). Our Event Support Experts take the initiative and deliver a wide range of services to make sure that guests enjoy their meal. Whether setting tables, communicating with the kitchen, interacting and serving guests, or cleaning work areas and supplies.
Main Duties-
Promoting a welcoming environment.
Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen.
Set tables according to type of event and service standards, including types of linens, glassware, plate/chinaware, and silver/flatware, ensuring all supplies meet quality standards.
Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day, practicing clean-as-you-go procedures to ensure that Marriott Brand Standards are maintained.
Prepare tables, action stations, buffets, service carts, dessert table/carts and cordial carts with specified tools, wares and equipment according to company standards.
Replenish buffet items to ensure consistency and freshness in presentation from opening to closing.
To be flexible to work in all areas including executive lounge, bar, restaurant and room service
What do you need to apply?
You do not have to have any specific qualifications in order to apply, but desirable if you have at least 1 year of related work experience within hospitality. We look for enthusiasm, ability to adapt, well presented, excellent attitude to work and flexibility to work all shift patterns.
