POSITION SUMMARY

The Digital E-Commerce Marketing Executive sits at the intersection between Marriott International’s E-Commerce marketing team and W Doha’s marketing team. This role helps the property effectively pull through the sales, marketing, and customer engagement activities that drive awareness and profitability. This role will also manage overall activation of the property’s strategies in owned and third party electronic channels (Marriott.com, multi-lingual global sites, OTAs, Meta search sites, search engines, and other E-Marketing vehicles). This role will work to increase revenue, grow market share and create a compelling experience that steers customers towards booking on our direct online property channels. The of The Digital E-Commerce Marketing Executive serves as a thought leader to the hotel’s marketing, sales, and revenue management teams, providing local area and country-wide insight to enhance their digital experience. To this end, he/she will be in touch with the Marriott Digital Field Marketing team on a regular basis to make sure that hotel goals are being met and campaigns are optimized to drive maximum results and efficiency.

The ideal candidate will be a motivated individual who is ready to make a significant impact in the digital marketing landscape and will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive digital marketing strategies, including PPC campaigns, digital targeted campaigns, SEO, SEM, and social media advertising across various platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat, and LinkedIn. This role requires close collaboration with the marketing director, revenue team, and marketing team to drive revenue and enhance the online presence of W Doha across multiple channels.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

DIGITAL E-COMMERCE TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create and optimize PPC campaigns, digital targeted campaigns, SEO, SEM strategies, and social media ads on FB, IG, YouTube, Snapchat, LinkedIn, to drive revenue for rooms, residences, dining outlets, and the spa.

  • Report directly to the marketing director and work closely on developing and implementing comprehensive digital marketing strategies aligned with hotel’s goals with constant updates on campaign performance to meet revenue goals.

  • Coordinate with the revenue team to optimize campaigns and drive revenue growth for rooms, residences, dining outlets, and the spa.

  • Monitor daily campaign performance and utilize performance analytics to optimize strategies for maximum effectiveness. Conduct regular performance analysis and provide reports to the marketing director, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to drive innovation in digital marketing efforts, with a focus on the domestic online travel landscape.

  • Develop targeted campaigns based on geo-targeting, demographic data, and customer interests to drive engagement and conversions.

  • Person must familiarize themselves with the Marriott International Plus platform and work closely with the Marriott Digital Field Marketing Team on a day to day basis to enhance the hotel's online visibility, performance and drive revenue, room nights, and bookings.

  • Assist in creating compelling room packages tailored for digital and social media campaigns to attract and retain customers.

  • Manage OTA advertising platforms such as Booking.com, Expedia, and TripAdvisor to optimize sponsored ads and business listings.

  • Manage budgets effectively and ensure campaigns are cost-efficient while delivering desired results.

  • Enhance the reputation, ranking, and visibility of W Doha across various channels and OTA platforms through strategic advertising and listing optimization to drive bookings and revenue.

DIGITAL ACQUISITION MARKETING

  • Coordinates execution of online marketing efforts through approved Marriott Digital Services team.

  • Works with the Director of Marketing and the Marriott Digital Field Marketing team to optimize Paid Search performance.

  • Manages the PLUS Platform for W Doha.

  • Executes online marketing activities in partnership with hotel and cluster Marketing leaders (e.g., loading Marriott.com Hotel Website deals, Group Deals, Group Value Dates, email marketing and affiliate marketing).

  • Assures that hotel website on Marriott.com and global sites are fully optimized to maximize traffic from search engines.

  • Identifies hotel-specific online digital activation needs (e.g., local channels to focus marketing efforts through).

HOTEL WEB SITE CONTENT OPTIMIZATION

  • Conducts regular audits of W Doha Hotel website and its outlets’ websites to verify each website is optimized for high quality custom images, content, links, and accurate translations; works with Director of Marketing on corrective action where necessary.

  • Uses B2B e-tools to grow online bookings for Group and Corporate business.

  • Identifies and implements efforts to drive online awareness and bookings for hotel F&B outlets.

OTAS AND META SEARCH CHANNEL OPTIMIZATION

  • Regularly audits content, images, and star ratings on OTAs and Meta Search sites, and works with Director of Marketing and revenue team to make appropriate corrections.

  • Identifies and executes W Doha OTA marketing and merchandising tactics as needed (e.g. Agoda newsletter, Expedia TravelAds, etc.).

  • Builds strong domestic relationships with the top 2-3 OTA partners.

  • Collaborates with hotel team and regional Revenue Leaders to review hotel performance on eChannels.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, or a related field; additional certifications in digital marketing are a plus.

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in the sales, marketing, digital, eCommerce or related professional area; hospitality marketing or agency experience preferred.

  • Proven experience in creating and managing PPC campaigns, digital targeted campaigns, SEO, and SEM strategies.

  • Experience with OTA advertising platforms like Booking.com, Expedia, and TripAdvisor.

  • Familiarity with tools and platforms used in digital marketing, including analytics tools, ad management platforms, and social media management tools.

  • Demonstrated expertise in social media advertising on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat, and LinkedIn.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and optimize campaigns for maximum performance.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Detail-oriented with a results-driven mind-set and a passion for driving revenue and enhancing online presence.

  • Experience in the hospitality industry is a plus
