Executive Housekeeping Manager – Courtyard by Marriott Fisherman's Wharf

About Us: Courtyard by Marriott Fisherman's Wharf, located in the heart of one of San Francisco's iconic Fisherman’s Wharf, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Executive Housekeeping Manager to join our team. Our hotel is part of a unionized property, and we are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

Position Overview: As the Executive Housekeeping Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the overall cleanliness and maintenance of our hotel, including overseeing the laundry department. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within a unionized hotel environment, managing teams under collective bargaining agreements.

Responsibilities:

Manage and lead the housekeeping team in accordance with Marriott standards and union guidelines.

Conduct morning meetings to communicate daily objectives, ensuring all housekeeping assignments are clearly understood by the team.

Oversee the bidding and creation of a seniority-based schedule, ensuring optimal staffing levels to meet cleanliness goals.

Collaborate with the General Manager and Guest Service Manager to align efforts in delivering exceptional customer service.

Work closely with the Engineering Department to create and ensure preventative maintenance schedules are completed.

Focus on cleanliness, maintaining Marriott standards, and ensuring a positive guest experience.

Assist in inspecting the work of Housekeeping Inspectors, ensuring cleanliness goals are met and maintained.

Utilize computer skills, with an emphasis on Microsoft Teams and SharePoint for efficient communication and collaboration.

Adaptability to work a varied schedule based on departmental and hotel needs.

Eligibility for a performance-based bonus tied to achieving cleanliness goals, guest satisfaction metrics, and overall hotel profitability.

Requirements:

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within a unionized hotel environment.

Experience managing teams under collective bargaining agreements.

Proficient in Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.

Ability to bid and manage a seniority-based schedule.

Strong organizational and communication skills.

Flexibility to work varied schedules based on department and hotel needs.

Salary and Benefits:

Competitive annual salary range: $75,000 to $85,000.

Annual performance reviews with the opportunity for merit increases.

Eligibility for performance-based bonus.
