DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Media Intern’s responsibilities will include but not limited to the following areas: § Supporting on new and on-going projects across campaign reporting and analysis, media research and other administrative tasks, as required. § Explore, track and consolidate the latest media updates from our competitors, as well as new offerings from our media partners – E.g., Google, Meta, TikTok and Airports. § Review Marriott’s APEC paid media advertisements to ensure they follow brand guidelines and achieve optimal creative quality scores, through our creative management platforms. § Evaluate and check through proposed media recommendations from Marriott’s media agency to ensure accuracy and consistency. § Organization and upkeep of project invoice trackers and online file folders. § Design, create and edit PowerPoint slides for presentation decks to internal stakeholders.

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

You should be a high-potential intern who is passionate, committed, and keen to establish a career in the hospitality industry with the following attributes: 1. Excellent oral and written communication skills. 2. Is a proactive and creative individual and has a keen passion for advertising and media. 3. Has a good understanding of the social media platforms and usage trends across the region e.g., Facebook, Instagram, TikTok 4. Strong interpersonal skills: ability to work effectively in a collaborative work environment, especially in a multicultural team, and with all departments – both above property and at the hotels. 5. Possesses strong analytical and critical thinking skills. 6. Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills. 7. Detail-oriented with ability to manage timelines. 8. PC skills - MS Office programs (Good understanding and knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Basic knowledge of Word)

QUALIFICATION STANDARD

Education: Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or hospitality management preferred Requirements: Singaporean, Singapore Permanent Resident Holder or valid student pass / work holiday pass Eligible for undergraduate in a Singapore registered university program / undergraduate or graduate of a university in Singapore, Australia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Switzerland, United Kingdom or United States. Prepared to commit to a six months’ internship Grooming: All employees must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance per Marriott standards.
